A complete Dynamic Feed® system consists of a hot
runner system, a controller and a hydraulic power
source. A windows based control program is used to
set an injection and pack profile for each hot runner
drop location. The controller reads the actual pressure
in the drop and matches it to the desired stored profile
by adjusting the position of the flow control pin via the
hydraulic actuator. Each flow control pin is operated
independently on a separate control loop and works in
real time so every shot is independently controlled
through each gate of the hot runner. The result is like
having a separate injection unit at each gate!
